TELEHEALTH PHYSIO CONSULTATIONS
The sooner an injury or pain is addressed, the better the outcome.
And look, we get it. It’s not always possible to make it to a physiotherapy clinic to address those issues, because life gets in the way sometimes:
- I'm too busy with work and can't get away
- I'm working out of town and don't know when I'll be back
- Sorry, I've got a cold, best I stay home
- I can't find someone to look after the kids
- My kids are sick and I'm stuck in the house!
- My mate can't lend me his car this week
- My car broke down
- I've got no one to drive me
- I'm in too much pain to go far
But injuries and physical pain from those injuries shouldn’t have to wait.
At Changing Views Physiotherapy we’ve always aimed to make physiotherapy as accessible as possible by running on time with appointments, and being open for extended hours.
We are taking this a step further, and offering you more.
Telehealth Physiotherapy consulting
We now offer 30 minute video conferencing physiotherapy appointments for people with simple injuries and physical pain caused by those injuries. ACC telehealth sessions do not have a surcharge.
What this means for you:
- You won't need to find a park when you're in a hurry (let's be honest, there is never one available when you're running late!)
- You won't need to schedule travel time either side of your appointment to get to and from work or home
- If you're isolated at home due to family illnesses, but otherwise well enough to participate in injury recovery, we can still help you!
- You won't need to organise transport if you don't have your own vehicle handy
How it works:
Please note: if during your appointment your needs are determined to be more complex, then we will need to reschedule an in-clinic or mobile physio appointment.
Make an appointment
Either call us on 021 0240 8542 or send us an email on our Contact page to arrange a time that suits your schedule. We will get some basic information, such as name, address and phone number for your appointment slot.
Prepare for your appointment
Once your appointment is booked, we will send you a link to our intake and consent form. This will ask questions around your injury, any ACC information (if applicable), and consent to treatment. This all helps to make your video consultation run smoothly!
Receive Zoom invite
We’ll set up a Zoom meeting and email you the link to join for your appointment time.
Reminders
For your convenience we send two text message reminders – one 24 hours prior to your appointment, and another two hours prior.
Your appointment
Click on your Zoom meeting link few minutes before your appointment time.
It is essential you are on time for your appointment, as we cannot run over the 30 minute window.
During your appointment we go into more detail around your injury and any pain.
You will receive education on your injury and any underlying factors that may be contributing.
Finally, a plan of action will be provided to help you move forward with specific exercises, along with options to improve mobility, decrease discomfort, etc.
Post appointment
After your appointment we will email your exercise plan, along with any additional notes.
